Melodee grew up in Crosby, ND graduating from Divide County HS and Minot State University with Bachelor of Science in Education in Psychology and a minor in Coaching.
She has lived and worked in Minot since 1988. In November of 2020 her oldest daughter, Kiana (23 at the time) suffered life-threatening Traumatic Brain Injury while working on a horse at a feedlot in Colorado. After her 4-month recovery in the hospital at Swedish Hospital and rehab at Craig Hospital, her parents went looking for a all natural health and healing rehabilitation and found LENS treatment in Denver, CO. Along with other all natural solutions, LENS was one of the most effective treatments they found. Melodee wanted to bring this treatment home for her family and for people in ND to get this new and advance technology that helps the body & brain heal itself naturally.
Melodee, her children and grandchildren all currently reside in Minot. She is a LENS Technician, co-owner and founder of Dakota Lens Therapy.
Dakota LENS Therapy partners with Bright Path and Pine Ridge Therapy.

Occupational therapists provide services to infants, toddlers and children who have or who are at risk for developmental delays or disabilities. Occupational therapy is concerned with a child's ability to participate in daily life activities or "occupations." Occupational therapists use their unique expertise to help children with social-emotional, physical, cognitive, communication, and adaptive behavioral challenges and to help children to be prepared for and perform important learning and school-related activities and to fulfill their role as students. Through an understanding of the impact of disability, illness, and impairment on a child's development, plan, ability to learn new skills, and overall occupational performance, occupational therapists design interventions that promote healthy development, establish needed skills, and/or modify environments, all in support of participation in daily activities.
